The Dubuque Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) works with group tour planners from around the world to ensure a successful and memorable visit and stay in Iowa’s oldest city. From a step on welcome with complimentary caramels made by our nuns to gathering hotel room rates for planner review to attraction booking assistance, staff at the Dubuque CVB are ready to make planning group’s next trip to Dubuque easy. More than 1,600 hotels rooms are available city wide. From national brands including the Holiday Inn, Best Western Plus, Hilton’s and Marriott to locally owned boutiques and riverview properties, Dubuque’s comfy accommodations are a great place to land your head at the end of the day. The community features many nationally known attractions including the Smithsonian affiliated National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium; the shortest, steepest railway in the world, the Fenelon Place Elevator; the Field of Dreams Movie Site and close by is historic Galena, Illinois. The CVB staff can work with you to put together a two day one night stay or a stay in the community for several days and nights. Many sample itineraries are already created and ready to be booked. The White House named Dubuque a “Climate Action Champion” and USA Today named Dubuque one of the Best American Riverfronts in 2014. These awards and accolades continue to build upon the major transformation that Dubuque has seen since the 1980s.
