The Warther Museum, located in Dover, Ohio, has been inviting groups for more than 50 years to learn and explore the essence behind the brilliant carver Ernest Mooney Warther. Here you can see his 64 ivory and ebony carvings, as well as his family home, his wife’s 73,000-piece button collection, and his original workshop. Our tour has become a staple visit for groups traveling to or through northeast Ohio. With a plethora of other attractions near us, we are easy to find — located a half-mile from the major Interstate 77 and State Route 39 and a mere 10 miles from the largest Amish settlement in Ohio.

Our one-hour guided tour is informative and delightful for all groups of people. We often have return visits, which is why we offer the Traditional tour, the Frieda Perspective tour and the Untold Mooney Stories tour. We also present an annual Christmas Tree Festival where groups are able to tour the museum and also see more than 100 trees and wreaths beautifully decorated for Christmas. The Christmas Tree Festival is held in November; the 2015 dates are November 15-23.

Because of the diversity of our tour offerings, we can cater to any size group in any age range. If you would like to include a meal with your visit, groups can enjoy a private evening tour accompanied with a candlelit dinner or a more casual day option that includes an outdoor luncheon in the gazebo, which is surrounded by gardens that feature 3,500 colorful annuals. Another option is a tour and a quick to-go boxed lunch catered by a local chef.

Parking is free and on-site at Warther’s and the property is completely handicapped accessible. Complimentary services for the escort and driver are provided during the visit. We are open seven days a week, and are happy to accommodate group tours earlier or later than our regular hours if requested.

We wholly believe that everyone in your groups will absolutely love the Warther Museum and will forever remember the time they spent with us. Learn more by visiting www.warthers.com or phone (330) 343-7513. The group sales contact is Kristen Moreland, you are able to email her below.
