Located just steps from Fashion Outlets of Chicago – the Midwest’s only two-level indoor shopping experience with over 130 outlets, near Parkway Bank Park – home to Joe’s Live, iFly, and the Big 10 Experience, and just down the street from Impact Field – home of the Chicago Dogs, Chicago’s newest independent baseball team, Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel is the ideal home base for enjoying all the fun there is to be had in Rosemont.

Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel is also well situated to serve as the hub in a hub and spoke tour. From Rosemont, groups can easily reach downtown Chicago and visit attractions such as Shedd Aquarium, The Art Institute, and the Field Museum. Great attractions located in the suburbs include Naper Settlements (Naperville), Brookfield Zoo (Brookfield), Chicago Botanic Garden (Glencoe), and homes and buildings designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright, notably his studio in Oak Park. The Lake Geneva area of Wisconsin is within reasonable distance and boasts Dancing Horses Theatre (Delavan), Yerkes Observatory (William’s Bay), and the East Troy Railroad Museum (East Troy).

The Ashburn, inspired by Chicago’s first airport – Ashburn Flying Field, is an innovative restaurant that celebrates the heritage and tradition of aviation, offering modern interpretations of classic American cuisine in a relaxed gastropub setting. The restaurant gives visitors the chance to experience a taste of the local flavors of Chicago through an innovative food and beverage program, Flavor by Loews Hotels. It features Filbert’s Old Time Root Beer – a Chicago tradition for more than 90 years, Veruca Chocolates – decadent treats with unique shapes, colors, and textures to delight the senses, and Rare Bird Preserves – small batch preserves and curds that utilize only the best seasonal ingredients, made with old-world methods and modern flavor profiles.

Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel recently launched The Bellhop Bar by Loews Hotels, a retrofitted steamer trunk packed with bespoke beverages stored in antique apothecary-style bottles, on display in Chicago from 5-7 p.m. daily. The Bellhop Bar promotion is available now through mid-January 2019, and allows guests to choose from local, pre-batched libations as well as domestically-produced wine, to be poured, mixed and served on demand.

The Bellhop Bar by Loews Hotels was born out of the success of the brand’s unique beverage concept, The Traveller Bar, which ended its two plus year run in January of this year, and drew inspiration from “the golden age of the cocktail era.” The launch of this promotion continues to signal the traveler past, where travelers would pack their belongings in wardrobe trunks for extended journeys.

The featured cocktails at Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel are:

  • Fall Fashioned ($12) – This is the fall fashion that suits everyone’s style. Made with Angel’s Envy bourbon, apple juice, cinnamon-clove simple syrup, cherry juice, and orange bitters, this cocktail is ideal for sipping throughout the holiday season.
  • Classy but Sassy ($8) – This cocktail, served straight up, uses a local ingredient to create a martini that has a truly local spin, resulting in a cocktail that is classy but sassy with a spicy kick. It is made with Hangar 1 vodka, Giardiniera juice, lime, and a pinch of salt.

Whether wandering the hotel’s on-site art gallery, featuring artwork provided by one of River North’s most renowned galleries and the city’s finest artists, or exploring downtown Chicago, surrounding suburbs, or southern Wisconsin, Loews allows guests to experience the region with the convenience of being close to Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
