Volo Museum is a 4th generation, family-owned business that started back in 1960 as a small classic car dealership at 27582 Volo Village Rd. in Volo, IL 60073. Two brothers, Greg and Bill Grams, would fix up old cars and turn them for a profit. Soon people would pay admission to see the collection that they started to build. It is now the largest indoor classic/collector car dealership in the country!

When sons Jay and Brian Grams joined, Jay took over the Volo Auto Sales side and Brian decided to grow the museum/entertainment side. He has added over 50 Hollywood TV and movie vehicles. A collection of rare and unique custom cars were then added from double engines, a giant roller skate, guitar, shopping cart and piano hot rods to rocket powered snowmobiles, motorcycles and a jet powered outhouse.

A massive military museum has also been added with authentic artifacts spanning from the civil war to the war on terror. There is also a fully restored hand-carved 1927 carousel pavilion holding dozens of, fully operational, self-playing street orchestras, pianos, vintage Coney Island penny arcade games, Zoltar machines and hand-cranked movie stands that showing Babe Ruth, Charlie Chaplin, Felix the Cat and more!

In 2021 the Midwest’s largest indoor animatronic dinosaur experience was launched to feature over 40 dinosaurs, a fossil dig, a raptor arcade and a place for kids to mine for gems and fossils.

The list of some of the rarest collections on earth also include campers from the 30’s to the 50’s, a fiberglass boat collection, dozens of vintage pedal cars, original coin-operated kiddie rides, bicycles, scooters and the first motorcycle and the first automobile! (No, it was not the model T). The is even a crime and punishment museum!

Volo Museum is also the home to many other incredible displays such as dozens of vintage store displays from Disney, Pixar and Warner Brothers and a collection of celebrity owned cars from Oprah and Princess Diana to Britney Spears and a prototype Cadillac limousine owned by Donald Trump.

Debuting in 2022 is Volo Station. Trains from Hollywood, a train museum and outdoor tour of our 35 acre lot. We have a brand new vintage ice cream parlor along with a new interactive Titanic experience, Fast and Furious collection, Ford vs. Ferrari exhibit, and a new Duesenberg room. We have something amazing for everyone from ages one to 92.
