Friends of Coopersville & Marne Railway is a non-profit (501-C) volunteer organization that has operated vintage passenger trains between Coopersville and Marne Michigan for the past 35 years. We invite you to experience a little time travel as we roll  through the beautiful West Michigan countryside on a 90 minute round trip ride.

Please visit mitrain.net or call 616-997-7000 for more information about our upcoming special event trains and group charter opportunities. We can arrange on board refreshments and entertainment for bus tour groups. Coopersville is a quaint little Midwestern town about 20 minutes NW of Grand Rapids located at two convenient exits off I-96. It has several downtown dining opportunities along with a nice ice cream shop. There’s also a farm museum and historical museum available for touring. Near the west 1-96 exit there are a choice of fast food eateries. Some bus tours have combined a trip to Meijer Garden with our train ride to excellent reviews. Combining a visit with the President Ford Museum in Grand Rapids is another possibility.

We handle groups of up to 300 on our train. We also have a historic disable accessible coach with wheel chair lift.
