Schedel Arboretum & Gardens is a great destination in Elmore Ohio.  Easy access off exit 81 on the 80/90 turnpike.

The 17-acre garden estate is a unique and beautiful hidden gem featuring: Japanese Gardens with a 30 foot waterfall, world class bonsai exhibit with more than 100 specimen- one is nearly 100 years old, water features, unique trees, flowers and native plants.  SA&G has themed gardens for peonies, roses, dahlias, perennials …to name a few.  Every year nearly 9,000 annuals are placed with different colors and varieties of plants in every bed.

In addition to our beautiful gardens, the words largest collection of lithophanes, The Blair collection- donated by collector Laurel Blair is now housed in the Schedel Manor house.  This unique art when back-light casts a 3-D visual of the porcelain image a 19th century art form.  Every year the exhibit is rotated and new.  So, much like the gardens you will see different combinations and displays every visit.  This year we are playing on the presidential election theming a portion of the exhibit “Ruler’s Of the past”. WE also have over 25 outdoor sculptures created with different mediums including stone, bronze, marble, granite, steel and ceramic. The Brown Welcome Center has an art gallery as well that rotates exhibits 3 times annually.

Things you should know about us!

We can provide breakfast, lunch, dinner and appetizers for groups over 25.
Schedel Arboretum & Gardens has a liquor license which allows use to offer bar service to all guests any day of the week.
Golf cart shuttles can be arranged for guests that might have trouble walking the 17-acre garden estate.  Advance notice is necessary to insure docent is available.  Fees apply.
A guided tour of the gardens and the Blair Museum can be arranged as well with advance notice.  Fees may apply.
A gift shop is located in the manor house.
