What comes to mind when you hear vintage train cars, knowledgeable volunteers, exciting special events and the occasional mystery? We hope you think of the Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad. In operation for 36 years, we provide three-hour, round-trip train rides through the “valley that changed the world” and share the history of the original Oil Boom.
 
Our seasons generally begin with the Peter Cottontail run in spring and end with three Santa Trains shortly after Thanksgiving. In between are many regular excursions and special events, and each takes you through beautiful Oil Creek Valley as you hear the history of the Oil Boom and see how Mother Nature has reclaimed this once bustling area.
 
June and September rides are Saturdays and Sundays, departing at 11 am. In July and August, we run Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 11 am. Fall Foliage Tours during October are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 11 am, and Saturdays and Sundays at 10 am and 3 pm. The ride through the park as the leaves are changing allows for some amazing sights. Many people ride just for outstanding photo opportunities!
 
Special events include Wine Tastings, WWII Re-enactment, Christmas in July, Brew Choo, Halloween Ride and Santa Trains. We are also partnering with Oil Creek State Park for several Petroleum Centre Tours during the season.
 
Murder Mystery Dinners are very popular, sold-out events. We host 10 of these annually, from May to October. Performers are from In All Seriousness of Erie PA, and the meal is catered by Stewart’s Premier Catering of Titusville. There is limited seating and we recommend calling early for reservations.
