Big Cat Habitat is a 501c3 non-profit organization located in sunny Sarasota, Florida. We are currently home to more than 300 animals from dozens of species including: lions, tigers, bears, primates, tortoises, zebra and more! Spend the day visiting with the animals and enjoying our charming petting zoo. Also be sure to catch our live educational animal shows which typically feature birds, alligators, lemurs, dogs and big cats! These shows occur every day we are open and are fun for the whole family!!

Our mission is to provide a safe, loving and permanent home for exotic and domestic animals in need, and to educate our guests on the importance of species preservation to ensure the survival of these magnificent animals for future generations. We are firmly committed to keeping alive the Human-Animal connection in our world and our community.

We offer tours for groups of all ages! Guests adventure through our park for an educational and fun experience where you are able to stand only 4-6 feet away from our animals! We also offer exciting interactive experiences with our animal ambassadors; Whether you choose a “Meet & Greet” with Stella, the two-toed sloth or hang out with our Ruffed Lemurs you will enjoy every moment with these beautiful creatures!
